Volunteers

ROW has a number of opportunities to get involved as a volunteer. Specific needs include:

  • Tutoring
ROW's Family Literacy program works with a wide range of adults – some needing intensive tutoring and some needing just a little extra help and encouragement. Reading and math tutors are needed weekdays at various times at our city office location, at 2229 Pine. You can volunteer for as little as two hours or as much as eight hours per week. Tutor training is required.
  • Newsletter Writer/Editor
This is a great opportunity for people with limited time to offer skills for writing articles and designing newsletters. If you have other ideas for getting out stories out to the public and are interested, please let us know.
  • Office Assistant
ROW is in great need of general office help! Office assistants spend time answering phones, greeting program participants, and providing general office management during the day. This is a great opportunity for someone who would like to donate a half or whole day each week and assist with providing a wonderful environment for women and children utilizing our services.
  • Special Events
If you like assisting with special events, ROW has a need for your help. Two times each year, ROW organizes a charity event that helps support the important work we do within this organization. In the past, we have held benefit concerts, and fun filled trivia nights. If you would like to be part of the fun, and donate your time during the events and/or in preparation of the events, please let us know.
