Family Resource Center and Redevelopment Opportunities for Women have Merged

On July 1, 2015, Redevelopment Opportunities for Women (ROW) officially merged with Family Resource Center. Two of Redevelopment Opportunities for Women's Board members, Board President Marlene Hunter and Board Vice President Sal Hernandez, have joined Family Resource Center's Governance Board.

Family Resource Center and Redevelopment Opportunities for Women have a long history of partnership and they share complementary missions. Both agencies have strong and proud reputations in St. Louis. For 41 years Family Resource Center has been giving kids and families - thousands of them - a chance for a safe and better life. Many of these families exist as single parent households struggling with poverty, homelessness and domestic abuse. Redevelopment Opportunities for Women has amassed 36 years of expertise in assisting women in need by providing job skills, economic security and safety. The agency assists more than 550 women and families each year.

Additional communication about this merger of ROW into Family Resource Center will be available over the next several months. Please continue to check Family Resource Center's website (www.frcmo.org) or ROW’s website (www.row-stl.org) to learn more about how we serve the children and families of the St. Louis community.

Since 1979, ROW has helped thousands of women and children move from hopelessness and poverty, to hope, safety and long-term economic security. This would not be possible without the support of our community. It has been through the support of individual donors and local foundations that we have been able to continue to provide life-changing services to families in need.
